I found a lizard looks kinda like an iguana but it not also it not a chamilan when in a dark place it will tu?

A lot of lizards change colors based on the light around them, it helps them absorb/block heat. Unless we have a picture or two it would be near impossible to tell you exactly what kind of lizard you found.
