I was diagnosed to have gall stones and my doctor advised me to undergo surgery to remove my gall stones.?

I just want to know whether, the cleanse method used by other individuals suffering from gall stones can be applied in my case considering that my gall stone measures 13mm which is larger than our common bile duct which measures 6.8mm. Is there any possibility that my gall stones be dissolved while doing the cleanse method? If not applicable, is there any other way that the size of my gall stones be reduced or dissolved?.
