Questions about repaying student loans?

The federal government pays the interest on a subsidized Stafford loan, so don't worry about that. You signed a master promissory note when you applied for the loan. On it will be the name and address of your lender. Contact them and ask where to make any payments. You will not be penalized for repaying a student loan early. Eventually, some organization will send you something in the mail to tell you exactly how much you owe, when you'll have to start paying, whom you should pay, etc. It will be from the organization that services your student loan account, and they will be up your for the next four years!
