How to tell dad he is a grouch before/on fathers day?

He doesn't sound like that much of a jerk...he's trying the best he can, and the fact that he can't hear well doesn't give you the right to slam a door in his face when he has enough to deal with...My dad can be a jerk too, but I get over it. Don't bother making him feel like sh!t on father's day...that's just wrong. Just tell him that sometimes the way that he acts hurts your feelings.
