How do I bring a older husky home when I have a younger husky?

I currently have a 9 month husky male. I was approahed by a lady at the dog park telling me about a man that has a female husky who is 2 years old and he can no longer take care of her. He is giving her away for free. My husky is very energetic and can be crazy! I have not met the female yet but i will be on Sunday. I am not sure if I am making the right decision. My dog loves other dogs and shouldnt have a problem with a new dog, I just dont no what to look for in the other dog to make sure she will make a good friend for him. As well i would like to changer her name, but would that be a problem seeing as she is 2 years old.
